Series I

From the Series: The collection is arranged into four sub-series. The first sub-series contains "Correspondence" arranged in alphabetical order. The second sub-series consists of "Essays" arranged in chronological order. If no date exists, then they are arranged in alphabetical order. The third sub-series, "Notes" are arranged in identical fashion as the "Essays" sub-series. The final sub-series, "Miscellaneous," is arranged in alphabetical order. All correspondence with the Brother Visitor (1879-1889) can be located in box 11. The Rev. John McCluskey, S.J. was a personal friend to the Mullany family, especially to Father Mullany. McCluskey went on to become president of Fordham College. M.A. Neville, State of MD, Department of Education, was appointed to a subcommittee to report the work of the Christian Brothers. Brother Maurelian (of Memphis) served as secretary and manager for the "Headquarters Catholic Educational Exhibit" at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition.
