Brother Philip was born on December 6, 1910, in Borrklyn NY and received the habit of the Brothers of the Christian Schools on September 7, 1930 at Barrytown, NY and pronouced his final profession in August 1936. He received a B.A. degree in 1934 and an M.A. degree in 1949 in French from Catholic University, Washington DC.
