Biographical / Historical

From published obituary: "Born in New York City, [William J. Mueller] was a son of the late John and May Mueller. He was a graduate of Catholic University in 1962, Phi Beta Kappa, Suma Cum Laude, and the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship Recognition. He graduated from the University of California at Berkley with a master's degree in English and continued his studies toward a doctoral degree at Tugingen University and at Catholic University. [He never completed that degree program]. As a Christian Brother, he was known as Brother Raymond. He taugh at LaSalle Military Academy in Long Island, NY, the Crossroad School in California, and the St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, serving as principal in 1971, Lewis College in Illinois, De La Salle College in Washington D.C., and Washington University in Maryland, where he was chairman of the pastoral education department. Brother Raymond served as vice president of personnel and was an auxiliary provincial at the Christian Brothers Center in Naragansett. Upon leaving the CHristian Brothers Order in 1983, he continued to teach and engage in pastoral ministry services. He was a member of the staff of Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora."
