Biographical / Historical

The Lasallian Leadership Institute represents a professional, comprehensive training and formation program which will effectively prepare Brothers and colleagues for leadership within Lasallian ministries throughout the United States and Toronto Region of International Institute of the Christian Schools.

This program is designed for individuals who exercise or will exercise a leadership role in Lasallian ministries. These include administarators, teachers/faculty, Board of Trustee members, and other key professionals: campus ministers, counselors, social workers, admissions and development officers, etc.

With its focus on leadership formation, this three year program invites the participation of teams of three to five individuals from each Lasallian institution and District leadership.

There would be three greographic centers, West, Midwest, and East with a maximum of twelve institutions represented during the first three year cycle at each center. The program would be designed to commence Summer, 1997. Intially, the first three year program would be completed before considering the establishment of a second series.

This Institute does not presume nor replace study in a degree/ non-degree program in Catholic educational leadership or administration. This Lasallian Leadership Institute may be taken for personal enrichment, for continuing education units, or for credit, arranged though one of the Lasallian institutions of higher education in the U.S./Toronto Region.
