McDevitt [In the opinion of the Assistant Archivist, Brother Rob Wilsbach,this is the signature stamp of a bishop because of the tiny cross (+) which is typically and deliberately placed just before a bishop's signature. Furthermore, the middle name of Bishop McDevitt was Richard. Therefore this book most likely belonged to Bishop Philip R. McDevitt, a distinguished alumnus of La Salle College, and likely, La Salle College High School.]
