Biographical / Historical

Bishop Boyle, Sixth Bishop of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, initiated the 1923 Educational Campaign [pages 52-54] and in 1927, Central Catholic High School's first year, 14 Christian Brothers registered 488 freshman students. [page 53]. Thus he could be considered the founder of the school.
