Graham, Matthias, FSC (Constantius of Mary), 1852-01-10—1930-08-10. [Information found by Brother Robert Wilsbach, 8 May 2018].
Brother Eugene O'Gara's A List of Religious Names in the Carondolet/Glencoe Novitiate 1866-1965, First Edition, 1999, page 4, states that the family name is spelled "Graham." [Information found by Brother Robert Wilsbach, 8 May 2018].
Biographical / Historical
Another note from OCLC WorldCat indicates that Frere Exuperien was born with the legal name of Adrien Mas. [Information found by Brother Robert Wilsbach, 9 May 2018].
This book was described in the author's preface as an "American edition" of an "excellent little book" originally written by Brother Exuperien, a prominent French Assistant Superior General.
Biographical / Historical
The author of this edition is Brother Constantius of Mary. His legal surname is not clear. Bro. Anthony Kent's biographical sketches present it as "Grahn," but Bro. Anthony stated it might also be "McGraham" or "McGrahan." His last will and testament suggests that the family spells it "McGrann." The reprint of the book has "Graham" on the front cover. Because his name is abbreviated "B.C.G." on the original title page of the book, it is likely that whatever his family name is, it should begin with "G," not "M," because of this choice of initials by either Brother Constantius himself, or the editor, or both.
