Biographical / Historical
This ministry was founded by Rev. James Dolan of St. Patrick's Church, Baltimore. Its location has been erroneously reported as "Spring Valley, MD," or "Green Spring Valley, MD," or "Silver Springs, MD." When the Christian Brothers briefly conducted this orphanage, it was located in "Govanstown" in Baltimore County, but later this time this same area (near St. Mary's Church on York Road in the neighborhood called "Govans") became part of Baltimore City.
